The Eastern & Oriental Express train is offering a Singapore-Malaysia-Thailand journey called Fables of the Hills priced at S$11,900.
The long meandering six-night trip is meant to mark the Year of the Snake and sets off from Singapore on October 27. The train can accommodate 60 and travels through the north of Malaysia and into Thailand, finally arriving in Bangkok. Along the way, it stops overnight at the lush green Cameron Highlands, for a barge cruise along the River Kwai, plus a visit to UNESCO World Heritage Site Penang.
