Foodie fests are our absolute favorite—we really can’t say no to sumptuous food paired with quality wine. If you’re like us (and will travel for food), you’ll be glad to hear that the Melbourne Food & Wine Festival will return Feb 27-Mar 15 next year for 17 days of culinary fun.
Festival-goers can expect masterclasses, lunches, wine tastings and more. While dates for these haven’t been confirmed yet, the dates for festival’s signature events have—the Bank of Melbourne’s World’s Longest Lunch, which will see 1,500 people seated at a whopping 530-meter long table to enjoy a leisurely lunch, will take place on Feb 27 along the riverbanks of Alexandra Park. The Langham Melbourne Masterclass, which will enable participants to experience exquisite creations from top chefs, will be Mar 7-8
You can board a Qantas flight to Melbourne, which will set you back around $658 for a round-trip itinerary in February/March 2015. Subscribe to the Melbourne Food & Wine newsletter to be kept in the loop, or visit the official website for more details.
