Beach bums, you can now fly direct from Singapore to Mauritius

Air Mauritius recently shifted its base of operations in Southeast Asia from Kuala Lumpur to Singapore – that means we now have a direct link to the Indian Ocean island paradise. The airline began flying the Port Louis-Singapore route on Mar 15. Departing three times weekly on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays, the flight takes just over seven hours.

Whether it’s a lazy escape to the beaches and bars of Grand Baie, treks through the scenic surrounds of Morne Brabant or a dip with the dolphins off the coast of Tamarin, Mauritius is a place to do nothing or do it all. And we haven’t even mentioned its distinct Chinese-, French and Indian-inspired cuisine. Mauritius also serves as a gateway to Africa with Air Mauritius flights connecting you to Kenya and South Africa. Come May, they will also fly to Mozambique and Tanzania.

To celebrate the launch of the route, Air Mauritius is offering all-in return fares from just $750 until the end of March. Flights outside the sale period are available from $980.
