Malaysian-born taxi application Grab Taxi has just launched its motorcycle taxi option, Grab Bike, in Bangkok.
The on-demand motorcycle service for people and parcels has already launched in Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Jakarta (although this service is already popular there), and claims to provide insurance up to B2,000 ($79) with all drivers’ backgrounds thoroughly checked.
If you’ve already downloaded GrabTaxi, this add-on will appear after updating the app. The process is pretty much the same as the taxi service, allowing you to select pick-up and drop-off locations while booking a driver. The estimated fare will appear on screen and the driver’s location is also tracked in real-time. Prices start from B35 ($1.40) per ride when you’re in Bangkok.
