Head up to Kuala Lumpur in August for this year’s Good Vibes Festival

If you’re not up for all the fab parties happening in town over the National Day weekend this year, why not grab some friends, rent a car and drive up to KL for a fun music-filled adventure instead? The Good Vibes Festival returns this year, so grab your mats (and raincoats) and bask in the plethora of art, food and music brought to you by both new and established artists from Malaysia and abroad at the popular new-ish venue The Rach at Gohtong Jaya, Genting Highlands on Aug 12-13.

Headlining the festival this year are French alt rock quartet Phoenix, Irish serenaders Kodaline, who brought the crowd of 4,000 to tears when they were in Singapore two years ago, American rapper G-Eazy, whose single “Me, Myself & I” soared to the top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 10, and Britpop band The Kooks. Joining them over the two-day festival are English indie pop songstress Dua Lipa, British electronic music duo Snakehips (how sick was their ZoukOut set last year?), Shura (she was so cute at Neon Lights last year), electronic genius known for his chart-climbing track “Faded”, Zhu, Malaysia’s very own rising alt R&B singer Alextbh, and so many more.

The show will run till about midnight, but don’t worry, there’ll be a dedicated food village manned by local purveyors to fuel you. Tickets will go on sale on May 5 via their official website. For a full line-up, check out their Facebook page.
