We’ve seen Star Wars- and Hello Kitty-themed airplanes. And now, adding to the list of over-the-top and very unnecessary things we just can’t help but indulge in is the world’s first ever Cartoon Network-themed cruise liner, aptly christened “Cartoon Network Wave”; and it’ll be making its maiden voyage from Singapore later this year.
A partnership venture between APAC’s best cruise management company Oceanic Group and the media conglomerate behind Cartoon Network, Turner, Cartoon Network Wave brandishes a huge livery of Adventure Time’s Finn on the front, and extending to the back on the port and starboard sides with other characters like the Powerpuff Girls (no sign of Bliss, the girls’ older sister that was introduced in 2017, though). The immense cruise ship boasts 11 guest decks that can house 2,000 travelers.
While the ship takes you around the Asia Pacific region to 13 different countries including Australia, Japan, Thailand and South Korea, you’ll get to hang out with your favorite Cartoon Network stars or check out the various character-themed spots, entertainment activities and recreation features on the ship—we’re talking Powerpuff Girls lounges, Johnny Bravo-themed burger joints, an Adventure Time-inspired Rope Adventure Park that takes after the Ice Kingdom and Candy Kingdom in the show, and so much more. Mathematical!
Details on booking a trip will be released in the coming months, but prices start from US$150 a night. More info here.
