Banyan Tree Chongqing Beibei, Banyan Tree Hotels and Resorts’ first hot spring retreat is set to open in the summer of 2013.
The getaway has 107 suites and villas featuring private hot spring pools as well as a spa with seven outdoor and indoor hot spring pools. The property is 40 minutes from Chongqing in Beibei, a picturesque area including Jin Yun Mountain and Jialing River.
Design-wise, the hotel includes Minguo era features including multi-floor folk houses, a bamboo-lined courtyard, carpets with Shu embroidery and lacquer work.
There will also be five restaurants: Modern Chinese eatery Jin Yao Xuan, Cantonese dining establishment Bai Yun, international food outlet Ming Yue, lobby and cigar bar Qing Feng, plus the Pool Bar.
