It’s time to book a trip to KL to check out these cool events

Our peninsular neighbor has lots of cool events over the next couple of months—it may just be time for another short weekend break.

WWE Live 2014 (Oct 10-11)

If you love the brutal theatrics of show wrestling then you can’t miss this event. Wrestling stars like John Cena, Bray Wyatt, Roman Reigns, Dean Ambrose and Intercontinental Champion Bad News Barrett will make appearances during this in-ring match.

Viper Challenge 2014 (Nov 1-2)

The second edition of this obstacle challenge has 20 obstacles over 20km, no easy feat for even the most agile of athletes. Crawl through mud, scale heights and face your fears at the Sepang International Circuit (the same one used for F1) and its surroundings. Last year saw over 8,000 participants, of which 1,000 were Singaporeans, so don’t miss your chance to get tickets before they sell out.

Kaleidoscope III (Nov 7-16)

HANDS Drumming Festival is back for its third installment at the KL Performing Arts Centre. The 10-day festival has local Malaysian acts like Kamrul Hussin, Kumar Karthigesu & Friends, and No Noise Percussion alongside international groups from as far as Spain and Norway. With over 100 drummers kickstarting the event, expect lots of drumming workshops and tons of performances.

If you’re still searching for more ideas on what to do around KL, fret not. We’re excited to announce the latest edition of our Kuala Lumpur Map, an insider’s guide to everything to do in KL, whether you are looking to party, eat good food or visit attractions in Malaysia’s capital. There are plenty of useful maps and even an events calendar. Download your free PDF copy here.
