Swanky new accommodation options in Myanmar and Wuhan

This November the Kempinski group opens up its latest hotel in Myanmar, bringing a touch of luxury to the capital of Nay Pyi Taw. The property will have 141 rooms and suites spread over four villas, including a 1,000 sq m. Grand Royal Suite that will be the biggest hotel room in the country. The design gives a nod to Burmese heritage with lots of teakwood and local arts, crafts and furnishings. There’s a total of five restaurants and bars serving a mix of local and European food, as well as an outdoor swimming pool, tennis courts and spas. Kempinski is offering an introductory rate of USD180 ($228) for a Premier Suite until Dec 31.

Meanwhile, the capital of China’s Hubei province, Wuhan, gets shiny new digs in the form of premium serviced residences. The fifth Modena branded property by Frasers Hospitality to launch in China, this will be a more efficient offering catering to the region’s key transportation, commerce and finance sectors. The Modena Zhuankou Wuhan is a 172-room serviced apartment building with studios up to three-bedroom suites, all of which have large rooms, kitchens, workspaces and a living area. The building also has facilities like a 24-hour gym, an outdoor swimming pool, meeting facilities, a self-service Laundromat and a cafe.
