Luxe boutique hotel group Secret Retreats has just launched a Mystic Mekong Exclusive Escape package (exploring Thailand and Laos along the Mekong River) from October 19-26, from US$3,300 (S$4,141).
On hand throughout the trip is well known travel photographer Andrew Lim, who will guide guests taking holiday shots, explaining about different angles and light. The itinerary starts in “Old Bangkok” with ancient architecture and plenty of temples and monasteries, and then moves on to the hills in northern Laos, to visit the local Hmong tribes.
The week-long escape ends in the village of Tai Dam, where will guests learn about the production of rice alcohol Lao Lao. Throughout the trip, folks will be put up at Secret Retreats hotels such as the Cabochon Bangkok.
