Regional carrier SilkAir has just launched flights to Kalibo, which is a popular entry point into the island of Boracay. Unfortunately tickets are on the high side, with a round trip fare in June costing around $755.20 upwards.
Not willing to fork out that much for more legroom and extra amenities? Budget carrier Tiger Airways started its Singapore-Kalibo service on July 18 last year, and a round trip goes for $430.47 upwards. Alternatively, there’s Cebu Pacific ($511 upwards) and Philippine Airlines ($520 upwards).
Price aside, the thrice-weekly flight schedule, departing Singapore on Tuesdays (8.20am), Thursdays and Sundays (both 10am), maximises your holiday—you’ll still have half a day once landed at Boracay.
