Bangkok’s new Hotel Indigo scores major style points

Southeast Asia gets its first Hotel Indigo with the opening of Hotel Indigo Bangkok Wireless Road in the heart of Bangkok. The 192-room boutique hotel is located in the heart of the city, in the laid back leafy boulevard of Wireless Road and is minutes away from Bangkok’s iconic Lumpini Park where you’ll find the odd splattering of street style mural.

Hotel Indigo, which is the cool younger sibling in the InterContinental Hotels group, takes design cues from its surrounding neighborhood so no two hotels look the same. This modern Bangkok property scores major points on the style front—all its rooms come with hard-wood flooring, locally-inspired artwork, floor-to-ceiling windows and sleek bathrooms with rainforest showers.

For in-hotel dining, there’s Thai-Western restaurant Metro On Wireless and cocktail bar 22 Steps, but what we’re really looking forward to is the forthcoming Char grill and bar, which will offer an unobstructed view of the Bangkok skyline when it opens in the later part of the year.

As with most new hotels, there’s a special opening rate. This one has rooms starting at THB3,700 ($156) and is available for stays from now until Jun 30. Head here to book.
