Heading to Hong Kong? There’s a Star Wars takeover at Disneyland next month.

If you’re a Star Wars fan and you’re planning a getaway, Hong Kong is about to hit the top of your list of potential destinations. In celebration of Star Wars Day on May 4, Hong Kong Disneyland announced that it will host Star Wars: Tomorrowland Takeover from Jun 11.

The takeover will see the theme park’s Tomorrowland precinct converted into a Star Wars-themed area complete with roving characters from the franchise. Popular attraction Space Mountain will be upgraded to Hyperspace Mountain, featuring dogfights between X-wing starfighters and TIE fighters, while visitors can also test their lightsaber skills at Jedi Training: Trials of the Temple and hang out with Chewbacca at Star Wars: Command Post.

On top of that, F&B options will be expanded to include such galactic treats as Star Wars wonton noodle soup, Millennium Falcon fried rice, Darth Vader burgers and Star Wars sundae cones. There will also be a range of more than 230 collectables on sale. Guests staying at Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel and Disney’s Hollywood Hotel during the takeover can opt for a Star Wars room decoration package (includes Star Wars door sticker, slippers, bed runner and chocolate and cookies set).

Hong Kong Disneyland has a special treat for fans from Singapore. Book your visits before Jun 30 and you’ll enjoy discounts of up to 25% off park admission and up to 30% off room rates. For more information, head to their website.
