Decked out in a tasteful blend of neutral tones and natural stone, the Ocean View Pool villa offers a stunning view of Samui’s coastline, with an outdoor pool perched overlooking the ocean.
Phuket’s luxurious Sri Panwa has joined the beach club set. The new <a href="https://www.agoda.com/partners/partnersearch.aspx?cid=1766587&pcs=1&… target="_blank">BaBa Beach Club on Natai Beach is as much about parties in the sand as glam accommodation. Sitting on 42 rai of pristine oceanfront land, it offers 16 villas and suites whose $740/night entry point ensures that this will be one very exclusive club. There’s a modish energy to the mix of Sino-Portuguese-inspired decor, enlivened by royal blues and splashes of orange. In the middle of it all, the Baba Bar stands primed for beach parties with DJs flown in from around the world. The property promises it’ll have music blaring from day to night, with rooms outfitted with the best sound systems for when you want to take the party indoors.

After big renovations, <a href="https://www.agoda.com/partners/partnersearch.aspx?cid=1766587&pcs=1&… target="_blank">Mantra Samui has reopened with a more contemporary vibe and boutique style. The basic but stylish rooms feature dark wood furnishings and ocean blue decor, each with its own balcony facing the ocean. Its infinity pool and hardwood floors offer all the trappings of coastal luxury, but thanks to a location five minutes from the beach, you can also save on the price of staying right by the sand. The spacious Ocean View Room starts at $145/night, or you can also rent the beautifully positioned Samui Ocean View Suite at $235/night. Surrounded by jungle, the room offers a stunning, unobstructed view of Bo Phut beach. Hop on the resort’s shuttle bus to reach the beach in about five minutes, as well as other Samui destinations like the fisherman's village and tasty food spots.

Tucked away between dense forest and rice paddy fields, the latest resort to open in the jungle-luxe Balinese town of Ubud feels very Tarzan and Jane. Opening this fall, Capella Ubud takes its cues from the colonial tastes of 1800s European settlers—four-poster beds, brass bathtubs overlooking the rainforest canopy, giant Indonesian hardwood screens. It’s all wonderfully whimsical and straight from the mind of interior starchitect Bill Bensley. Less 19th century are the private plunge pools, tented gymnasium and robatayaki grill. Start saving now, because rooms start at US$1,000/night ($1,362).

Bawah Island

A 70-minute flight from Singapore by private seaplane takes you to Indonesia’s latest archipelago of islands to get the luxury hideaway treatment. At Bawah Island, just 35 suites and villas hide in a jungle canopy overlooking three stunningly clear lagoons. That means you’ll only ever have to share the five private islands with a maximum of 69 other guests, all of whom get their own, tropical-cool quarters, and dine on meals plucked from the nearby environment. Swimming pool? Forget it. With calm, azure waters just moments from your villa, you don’t need one—plus this place is all about the environment. The resort is now taking email bookings through their website. How much you ask? It now costs US$1,960 ($2,700) for two people per night, including round trip transfers from Singapore.

Not far from neon-lit Shibuya, the boutique <a href="https://www.agoda.com/partners/partnersearch.aspx?cid=1766587&pcs=1&… target="_blank">Trunk Hotel is like a contemporary piece of art, each of its 14 rooms providing a one-of-a-kind atmosphere just 11 minutes’ walk from JR Shibuya Station. The single, studio-style rooms start from around $407/night and offer a beautiful taste of designer living in downtown Tokyo, while the Living Suite is your chance to experience the loft-conversion dream at $1,355/night (sleeps six). All the hotel’s amenities and products come from local shops, whose owners you’re likely to find drinking and mingling in the adjoining bar-meets-co-working space.

Singapore

<a href="https://www.agoda.com/partners/partnersearch.aspx?cid=1766587&pcs=1&… target="_blank">Yotel is a techy, London-born chain that’s been described as the missing link between Airbnb and old-school hotels. The brand takes cues from Japanese capsule hotels and first-class airline travel to squeeze luxury hotel living into the most compact of spaces. While most of its branches are found within airports—like Amsterdam Schiphol and the Charles de Gaulle in Paris—Yotel’s Asian debut is about to land on Singapore’s shopping hub of Orchard Street. The 610 rooms (called “cabins”) are designed to “come with everything you need and nothing you don’t.” The premium option (from around $175/night) come with an adjustable SmartBed, rejuvenating rain showers, smart TV, plentiful power sockets—and even mood lighting. The hotel also offers a club lounge, gym, restaurant and bar, co-working space, and 20-meter pool.
