Thailand’s huge four-day music festival is back next month

Singapore is always filled with cool music festivals, ranging from stalwarts like Laneway to emerging ones like Neon Lights. But if you want to check out the scene in outher countries, you can head to the Wonderfruit Music Festival. Held on Dec 17-20 at The Fields at Siam Country Club, Pattaya (50 Moo 9, Bang Lamung, Chonburi), there will be plenty of cool(ish) music acts and nosh.

There’s New York City’s alternative rock band Blonde Redhead, with British lo-fi producer Catching Flies  and LA-based electro producer Daedelus. There are also other notable names, like Canadian house producer Jacques Greene and Indian classical and folk electronica musician Karsh Kale. If you’re looking for local acts, you can check out rocker Pongsit Kampee and folk rock group Greasy Cafe.

On the food front, there is an event called Farm to Feasts by Asia’s No. 1 Restaurant Gaggan. You can look out for pop-ups by Knock BKK, Rocket and Peppina, all big-deal restaurants in Bangkok. New York bartender Shingo Gokan from the Speak Low bar will be there, too.

You can check out the website for the full line-up. Weekend passes are about $220.
