There’s a new way to get to Hanoi from Singapore

When we predicted the top travel destinations for this year, Vietnam easily made the list. And if you’re planning to visit this scenic country, you can now do so by flying direct to Hanoi as well—instead of routing through Ho Chi Minh City—on Vietjet’s new international route.

It’s no surprise that Hanoi has become a hot pick, especially with the exciting Quest Festival last November, the country’s tallest hotel being located here (in between Old Town and New Business District), and there’s now a Kong: Skull Island tour package that will bring you to all the film locations in Vietnam. The country’s first low-cost airline will operate on a daily return basis, departing Singapore at 2:55pm (local time). It’ll take about two hours and 55 minutes before arriving at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi at 4:50pm (local time). This is currently the second route to connect us to Vietnam, after Ho Chi Minh City, where Vietjet flies twice daily at 1pm and 6pm from Changi. Tickets are only available for booking between 1pm to 3pm on their website, and are priced as low as $29.

If you want to go further into the country, Vietjet will also be launching a new domestic route from Hanoi to the capital city of Quang Bing Province, Dong Hoi, which leaves the airport at 6:40am and arrives just 55 minutes after. The return flight on the other hand leaves Quang Bing Province, Dong Hoi at 8:05am.
