Think first-class seats in the A380s are luxurious? You haven’t seen what’s in Etihad Airways

Etihad Airways has (literally) outclassed everyone in the field—this time, the high end carrier has launched The Residence, the world’s first-ever private multi-room cabin on board a commercial passenger aircraft.

You won’t even feel like you’re on a plane—the 125 sq. ft. space is as good as a designer hotel suite, complete with a double bedroom, separate ensuite shower room and living room that’s decked out in Poltrona Frau upholstery. There’s also a 32-inch LCD TV in the living room and 27-inch LCD TV in the bedroom (no more squinting at mini in-flight screens), plus Wi-Fi connectivity and a Panasonic eX3 entertainment system.

Service is top-notch, too, obviously, with Savoy Butler Academy-trained butlers at your beck and call, plus a dedicated VIP Concierge team taking care of matters like ground transport, custom menu planning and check-in.

The price for royalty? A cool $29,594 for a one-way trip between Singapore and London. High-flyers can start booking The Residence in 2015.
