You can now marvel at Qin Shi Huang’s famous terracotta warrior army up close, with the launch of Tigerair‘s new flight route to the historic city of Xi’an—home to the Mausoleum of the first Qin emperor. This will mark Tigerair’s ninth (and counting) Greater China destination, and it’ll be the first direct flight from Singapore to the Chinese city.
Xi’an is definitely a destination for culture and history buffs—besides the terracotta army, there’s plenty else to explore in the city, such as The Great Mosque, which is one of the best-preserved ancient mosques in China, and the 12-meter high old city wall. You can also pay a visit to the Famen Temple, which is located on the outskirts of the city.
The flights will run three times a week (every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday) from May 15. Tigerair is offering promo one-way fares from $88 upwards from now till April 30.
