All self-respecting foodies should take note of this blockbuster culinary escape, three hours from Perth, Australia. The Margaret River Gourmet Escape is back this Nov 21-23 with a series of decorated chefs and an array of fine food and wine, in true Aussie style.
This year, expect chefs like three Michelin-starred Massimo Bottura of Osteria Francescana (Italy), Davide Scabin of two Michelin star restaurant Combal.Zero (Italy) that’s ranked 51st best restaurant in the world and the first British female chef to earn three Michelin stars Clare Smyth of Restaurant Gordon Ramsay (UK). Alongside these heavyweights, our own chef Sam Leong (Forest, RWS) will join this culinary gathering to serve up some of his signature fine and contemporary Chinese cuisine.
Aside from watching these decorated chefs cook, get in on the action with classes and workshops like a Cape Mentelle Cabernet Celebration featuring Cabernet wines from around the world followed by a lunch at the winery’s estate, as well as a picturesque Sundown Soiree at Fraser Gallop Estate with special guest, Massimo Bottura. There’s even a pop-up beachside BBQ where you can sample the region’s best foods and wines while taking in panoramic ocean views.
