Or, if wildlife is more your thing, register for the “Free the Bears” tour of India, which will be led by wildlife photographer Alex Cearns. You’ll get to visit the Agra Bear Sanctuary and the Bannerghatta Bear Rescue Centre, alongside some of India’s most notable icons like the Taj Mahal and the “Pink City” of Jaipur. Adventurous folk go for the “Api Himal Exploratory” trip to the northwest of Nepal with Tim Macartney-Sbape, who was the first man to scale Mount Everest from sea level. Be warned—this expedition will take 30 days, so sign up only if you have the perseverence and stamina for it. The remote Api-Saipal massif promises peaks rising over 7,000m, alpine ridges, glaciated passes and more, so it’s really only for the steel-hearted.
