Hong Kong’s West Kowloon Cultural District will welcome two music events—Clockenflap and Blohk Party—at the end of the year.
Clockenflap (November 29-December 1) will include performances by Irish group Two Door Cinema Club, American band Black Metal Motorcycle Club and the UK’s Four Tet. Blohk Party (December 7) will be curated by Grammy Award winning musician Pharrell Williams (the headlining act) and will also include live performances and DJ sets by Gaspard of French duo Justice, Breakbot, Busy P and So-Me. Plus, local performers such as Edison Chen, LMF, 24 Herbs, Josie & The Uni Boys and Skibs the Kid.
While in town for the music festivals, stay at new hotel Mira Moon (388 Jaffe Rd.), a 91-roomer, which will open in November. The hotel decor will include Chinese motifs inspired by the classic Moon Festival legend. On-site, there’ll also be ladies-only floors, outfitted with beauty supplies and fashion accessories. There’ll also be a 50-seat restaurant Super Giant serving Chinese-Spanish small plates. Rates start at HK$4,000 (S$$641) and the hotel’s introductory offer offers up to 20% off rates through December 31.
