Wonderfruit

Wonderfruit, the four-day festival of art, music, food and wellness, is back again for the second time this year

So far, only sixty-two names have been announced, including Canadian techno music producer/DJ Richie Hawtin, English rapper Roots Manuva, American trio Khruangbin, English soul-pop singer and song writer Izzy Bizu, and American improvised electronic/jazz band Nerve.

Representing the best of local music will be Khun Narin’s Electric Phin Band, the psychedelic Thai wedding rockers whose sound has taken festivals the world over by storm.

Away from the music, they also promise arts, food and wellness. With one of Wonderfruit’s founders, Pete Phornprapha, as the principal partner in the Bangkok branch of Morimoto, it’s little surprise to see the modern-Japanese restaurant headlining this year’s food lineup, along with other foodie names Straight Outta Thonglor (SOT), Clean Food Caravan, Thailand Young Farmers and The Farmacy.

Taking the place of February’s muay Thai workshop from Bua Khao, this time they are bringing you yoga by Hong Kong-born singer Rosemary Vandenbroucke.

Back for its fourth edition, Wonderfruit is set to take place on Dec 14-17 at The Fields at Siam Country Club, Pattaya. Phase 1 tickets are on sale now with adult tickets priced from B3,700-B5,000 ($150-$204). Head over to wonderfruitfestival.com to buy them now.

Find accommodations here or await more info on their onsite boutique tents.

Origin NYE 2017

Back for its tenth year, Australian music festival Origin NYE promises a star-studded line up. Confirmed names so far include British grime fave Stormzy, American rappers Schoolboy Q and Danny Brown, and DJ Snake, with many more still to be announced.

For one night and one night only (Dec 31), this incredible mix of artists and DJs will grace the stage of Claremont Showground in Perth to bring in the New Year.

Keep an eye out for future line-up announcements via their Facebook event page. With the festival’s line-up history boasting artists such as A$AP Rocky, Chance the Rapper and Skepta, we’re sure this year will be just as lit.

First release tickets sold out in a flash, but second release tickets are still available at A$175 ($183). Grab them here while you can. Get your accomodations here.

Now all that’s left to do is to secure tickets. Early bird sales are already over, but standard tickets are only going at $158 a pop. More info here.
