Our new favorite Malaysian eco-resort

If you’re a beach bunny, you’ll know that there are plenty of hidden, tucked away beaches in Malaysia. Here’s another one to add to your expanding list: the Gayana Eco Resort. Think clear blue waters, soft white sand and charming bungalows on stilts. Plus, there’s also a deal that involves getting 50% off on your second and third night, with a minimum of three nights stay. Room rates start at US$354 ($376) per night.

Located on the coast of a coral reef island just off Borneo (the nearest airport is Kota Kinabalu), this luxe resort comprises 52 bungalows that sits on clear blue waters. For  food, you can pick from the resort’s two restaurants; the Alu Alu, supposedly one of the best Chinese seafood restaurants in the area, or the laidback Macac with poolside dining and Western food with a Malaysian twist. You’ll also find a spa, a water sports center and an infinity pool with plush sun beds.

If you book it through Mr and Mrs Smith, you’ll also get a romantic dinner, an hour’s kayaking, snorkeling or jungle trekking tour and a 45-minute spa session for two. This deal is available until Apr 30, 2015 and is valid for stays until Nov 6, 2015. Head here for more info.
