Just in case you needed another reason to go to Bali – Kilo is opening. With the slew of Balinese concepts opening in Singapore (think Ku De Ta and Potato Head Folk), we’re finally giving back to the Indonesian island.
Kilo Bali is set to open on 69 Jalan Drupadi in the Seminyak area with lots of modern Balinese architecture, wooden furniture and lush tropical greenery. The intimate and airy ground floor space will serve up some Japanese-Italian fusion food with dishes like avocado-wasabi tuna tartar with flour crisps (Rp. 110,000/$11); BBQ pork ribs with parmesan wedges and chicharon (Rp. 110,000/$11); an open face salmon sandwich with capers, watercress and sour cream (Rp. 95,000/S$10); and heartier dishes like cream of ebiko pasta with smelt roe, tiger prawns and chives (Rp. 120,000/S$13), as well as beef short ribs with cauliflower, cream mushrooms and watercress (Rp. 190,000/S$20).
Although it’s not a beachside space, they definitely won’t skimp on the cool factor with loungey music, good food and undoubtedly great people watching.
