If you didn’t have a reason to go to Thailand, then the four-day Wonderfruit festival of art, music, food and wellness is definitely a good one since the first wave line-up for its 2016 edition has been announced.
Among the 29 names that have been released are some exciting international artists like English drum ‘n’ bass group Rudimental; American house and funk DJ duo Wolf + Lamb; Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood’s JUNUN project featuring Shye Ben Tzur & The Rajasthan Express; Mercury Prize-winning hip-hop group Young Fathers; and Kate Simko & the London Electronic Orchestra.
Local names on the lineup include rock band Srirajah Rockers and emerging molam singer Rasmee Isan Soul. Away from the music, there promises to be talks and workshops from Muay Thai kickboxer Buakaw and sustainable community project Trash Hero; art from Taste of Wonder, puppeteer Nang Sakon Talung Dharma and Wonder Salon. For food, expect booths from Rocketfruit and Straight Outta Thonglor.
