Foodies take note: Sydney should be your next holiday destination. Come late Jan 2016, the famed Danish restaurant Noma is doing a 10-week long pop-up in Sydney’s Barangaroo, an inner-city suburb that overlooks the Sydney Harbour Bridge.
Just like the previous Tokyo pop-up, the restaurant will temporarily close its Copenhagen home as Chef Rene Redzepi transplants the entire team Down Under. This Sydney pop-up will offer lunch and dinner five days a week and features an entirely new and unique menu incorporating Aussie ingredients like pepper leaf from Tasmania and the fish and shellfish of South Australia. We hear the menu has 18 different parts with an optional wine pairing that will set two diners back a cool $1000, at least. But hey, that’s still cheaper than flights to Denmark, right?
Due to the restaurant’s popularity, you’ll have to snag a table three months in advance. Reservations will only be open later this year, but it’s time to start planning. For more updates, head here.
