Visit Cambodia with a professional travel writer

Always wanted to be a travel writer? Well, now you can do it with some professional help. World Expeditions has teamed up with award-winning travel writer, Rob McFarland (who is a member of the Australian Society of Travel Writers) to help aspiring ones hone their skills in the land of Angkor Wat. starting Apr 30 next year.

The itinerary, Travel Writer’s Cambodia, involves an eight-day tour starting from Siem Reap, where you will wander around the famed Angkor Wat before heading to the stilt houses at Tonle Sap Lake. There’s also a visit to the arty town of Battambang, and its temples and markets. The trip ends in Phnom Penh with tours to the Royal Palace and the infamous Killing Fields.

Participants will submit a story to McFarland for feedback when they return. The trip costs $3,067 for a solo traveler and covers most meals, a bilingual guide and airport transfer for a day. Flight fares are not included.
