The digital nomad’s dream of working remotely while sipping on drinks and lounging on sofas with an ocean view is finally getting closer. A couple hours away, to be exact—Mantra Samui Resort has recently launched their new “Work | Lounge,” the Thai island’s first dedicated co-working space.
Newly opened a month ago, this resort in Koh Samui provides a comfortable space for travellers and locals alike who are looking to either work on a holiday, or network and engage in discussions with like-minded people. At only US$9 (S$12), visitors who aren’t staying at the resort can enjoy working in the air conditioned space with high speed WiFi, a pantry, plus calling and printing services for half a day. If you start to get a little restless, there are sofas, TVs and even a billiard table and PlayStation to keep you (and any potential coworkers) entertained and refreshed to continue hustling.
And when you’re done with the day’s work, choose to add a pool pass to the infinity pool and an on-site gym pass to your package for some hard-earned relaxation.
If you’re planning to make frequent visits, opt for a monthly pass at US$375 (S$490); for visitors on an extended stay on the island, the new ‘Work | Stay | Play’ scheme is priced at US$82-118 (S$111-160) per night and includes breakfast as well as access to the lounge.
Mantra Samui Resort’s Work | Lounge is located at 9/123-124 Moo1, Tumbon Maenam, Aumphur Koh Samui, and is open from 9am-9pm daily. More information here.
