Genting was the go-to resort getaway destination when the entertainment options on Singapore’s shores began to feel a bit bland. For a relatively reasonable drive of five to six hours, the integrated resort at Genting felt like it had everything from theme parks to casinos.
This weekend introduces yet another attraction to Genting’s Resorts World, and this time, it’s our very own clubbing powerhouse Zouk that will be taking nightlife at the Malaysian entertainment hub by storm. Experience a multisensory overload with up to 1,200 other partygoers at the main space, illuminated by an ecstatic blend of sound and lighting design. Three “spaceships” crown the nightclub, further emphasising the “out-of-this-world” factor of Zouk’s newest outlet. On top of that, 1,000 LED lights, CO2 canisters and pyrotechnics will literally deliver a fire performance with live acts and acrobatic aerialists.
What’s a good club without BPM-spiking music? State-of-the-art sound system The Void will be powering the club with bass-heavy EDM; the backbone of all parties—next to the booze, of course. Three bars can be found spanning across the 35,000 sq ft. area to fuel your function and bottles can be delivered to tables within minutes.
Take advantage of the long weekend ahead to witness the grand opening in person. Malaysian-based DJ duo Bate pledges to raise the roof with their signature high-energy performances; while Dutch-Morrocan talent Fadil El Ghoul—better known as R3hab—prepares to take on the main act of the night with hits “Pump The Party” and “Prutata”.
