Where do K-pop idols and top actors like Taxi Driver’s Lee Je Hoon, BTS’ J-Hope, ENHYPEN’s Jungwon and Super Junior’s Yesung stay when they travel around Asia?

Turns out, they are no different than us ordinary folks when it comes to luxurious getaways. Whether they are on tour or enjoying a well-deserved break from their busy schedules, a comfortable hotel is a must to rest their heads during their travels. Read on for a glimpse of where these Korean A-listers enjoyed their recent Asian adventures.

Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok

ENHYPEN’s Jungwon was definitely impressed by the hotel during the ‘Manifesto’ world tour in Bangkok earlier this year. In his YouTube vlog, he declared that of all the hotels the group had stayed in, “this is the nicest one.”

BTS’ J-Hope also approves, showing off several selfies in the hotel.

Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok has been described as a “charismatic, edgy hotel” that channels the city’s vibrant energy with stylish, modern design. Located in the heart of Bangkok, the hotel is a stone’s throw away from all the must-see sights and near the leafy surrounds of Lumphini Park. Guest rooms feature all the creature comforts of a five-star hotel, decked in organic materials with touches of Asian artisanship for a cocoon-like vibe. Special mention goes to the bathroom fitted with an oversized tub and Harnn amenities.

Kimpton Maa-Lai Bangkok is at 78 Soi Tonson, Lumpini Pathumwan, Bangkok, Thailand 10330.

Regent Hong Kong

Super Junior’s Yesung was suitably impressed with Regent Hong Kong despite admitting he does not usually stay in hotels when he travels. In his YouTube vlog, he was surprised, saying that it was “really nice” as he pointed to the city skyline behind him.

It’s no surprise, as Regent Hong Kong offers “a feeling of intimate grandeur” and a calming respite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Well-appointed rooms have gorgeous views of Victoria Harbour; the Pool Terrace allows relaxation with cosy daybeds and infinity spa pools; and the restaurants offer a mix of culinary delights for immersive and sensory experiences.

Regent Hong Kong is at 18 Salisbury Road, Kowloon, Hong Kong.

InterContinental Singapore

Korean heartthrob Lee Je Hoon stayed at InterContinental Singapore during his visit to promote the second season of popular K-drama series, Taxi Driver. If it’s good enough for him, it’s good enough for us.

InterContinental Singapore is situated in the Bras Basah.Bugis (BBB, as it fondly known) precinct, a vibrant arts, heritage and design enclave in the heart of Singapore’s civic centre. It has modern and luxurious guest rooms, award-winning dining experiences, and is just minutes from attractions such as Marina Bay, Orchard Road, the Central Business District, and the National Museum, with direct access to Bugis MRT.

InterContinental Singapore is at 80 Middle Road, Singapore 188966.
