This hotel is located in the nerve center of the city, on Dunhua North Road—Taipei’s main boulevard. It boasts 256 guest rooms and 47 suites, and is also home to the largest hotel spa in the country.
The Spa at Mandarin Oriental, Taipei measures over 3,500 square meters in size (that’s roughly four times the size of an average four-room HDB flat!), and is spread over two floors. It comprises 12 treatment suites (including six single suites, two VIP double suites and four couple suites), a beuaty salon, spa tea lounge and spa boutique. It also houses the urban Fitness and Wellness Centre, which contains a multi-functional fitness studio and outdoor heated swimming pool.
Besides the world-class spa, the hotel also features a slew of restaurants and bars, including Bencotto, which serves up authentic Italian cuisine, and Ya Ge, which offers traditional Cantonese fare. There’s also a fully equipped business center, along with various meeting rooms and ballrooms that can acommodate up to 1200 guests.
