It tells the tale of four lovers who have eloped into the forest, only to be pranked by mischief-maker Puck. Meanwhile, the fairy king and queen are at war, and a group of tradesmen are rehearsing a play. Mayhem and magic ensue.

The play’s themes of love, togetherness and fun is something that award-winning director Guy Unsworth highlights. “We need this more than before, we appreciate it more than before, to create something which would celebrate the very thing it is: a piece of live entertainment which brings people together and celebrates love and life,” he says.
