Hong Kong’s Fitness and Wellness Expo (FWE) – one of the largest fitness events in the region – will soon be leaping into Singapore with a heavyweight programme of stage classes, fitness competitions and industry showcases.
Highlights for the inaugural edition of FWE Singapore – happening from Aug 31 to Sep 1 across two halls in Singapore Expo – include indoor fitness racing competition Hyrox where participants go head-to-head alternating between running and various functional workouts to determine who among them is fittest of all.
The fitness event will also serve as the staging location for the first-ever edition of the Singapore Dodgeball Championships 2024. Participants will get a chance to form teams of their own to battle it out with other groups, challenging their coordination, reaction and physical fitnes in this adrenaline-fuelled game.
After all, the two-day event will be jam-packed with more than 50 classes led by an international team of instructors from various participating brands.
One headliner that can’t be missed is global group fitness sensation Les Mills, best known for planting the exercise bug in tens of thousands of people worldwide with innovative and accessible group classes.
You’ll get to sample their latest and greatest programmes during Les Mills Live Singapore on the first day of FWE (Aug 31) together with over 2,000 Les Mills instructors and fitness enthusiasts, thanks to a joint effort between the brand’s Asia Pacific division and Sport Singapore.
Yoga and pilates junkies won’t be left out either, as they’ll be able to participate in group classes led by one of Asia’s leading fitness lifestyle brands, Pure. Experience a variety of yoga, fitness, mat and reformer pilates programmes, including recently-in-vogue HIIT (high-intensity interval training) yoga during the event.
Just remember to leave some gas in the tank for other interesting exercise activities like immersive virtual-reality boxing and lacrosse. There are also fun dance classes where participants can master K-pop and Bollywood beats while working out a sweat.
A standard full-day access pass costs $10, though participants opt to pay $25 to enjoy fast-track entry to venues, classes and programmes, plus a goodie bag filled with premiums from Pure, Simply Active and Comvita.
FWE Singapore takes place from Aug 31 to Sep 1 at Singapore Expo, Hall 3 and 4, 1 Expo Dr, Singapore 486150. For tickets and programme details, visit here.
