Japanese choreographer and dancer Zan Yamashita contextualises his body as a site for various absurdist situations, including earthquakes and other natural disasters, to comment about the state of things today. The result is an entertaining and frenetic performance.   

Real Reality

Choreographed by Mikuni Yanaihara and performed by Emi Oyama and Jun Morii, Real Reality explores corporeality and its effects on the body, so expect some interesting dance moves in this one.

Singapore Toy, Game & Comic Convention

The latest edition of this popular comic and toy convention features marquee names from the industry: this year’s top draws include illustrator Adam Hughes, most well known for his works in Hellboy, Captain America and Wonder Woman, and Sadamoto Yoshiyuki, who worked on the animation The Girl Who Leapt Through Time.  

STPI Open House

This open house and workshop conducted by the Singapore Tyler Print Institute provides participants a rare opportunity to try their hands at different print and papermaking techniques under the tutelage of expert printers. Participants will get to take home their very own handmade prints too. 

Route 11: The Flight from Canvas

This is British artist Piers Bourke’s first exhibition here, who is most well known for his various design works includng furniture, memorabilia and 3D artworks. On show are popular favourites such as his stamps series “Lick My Rear”.

Encounters

This is Korean artist Jieun Park’s first solo show here, which features an infectious mix of grafitti-inspired pieces done in Chinese calligraphy style, all inspired by her journeys to London, Paris and Hong Kong.
