You may think you’ve experienced all there is to Singapore during this period of no travel, but that’s probably untrue, especially since Hall of Fame @ Kampong Gelam has just rolled out some exciting new adventures for locals.
Having made waves as Southeast Asia’s first official graffiti hall of fame, the outdoor gallery is keeping its visitor experience fresh by introducing a slew of cool art experiences this August.
Simply embark on a two-hour Polaroid Walk around the neighbourhood to capture paintings, murals and all the vibrant stories that make Kampong Gelam Singapore’s iconic street art precinct with a handy Polaroid camera.
A Polaroid enthusiast will be present to take you on a tour to discover photo opportunities too.
Then, channel your inner Banksy at Discova’s Counter-culture Street Art Workshop that teaches stenciling and lettering techniques, led by one of Hall of Fame’s very own artists. Participants will get to take home their own spray-painted creations when the workshop ends.
Or, if you’re the adventurous sort, why not take a trip around Kampong Gelam with the Hall of Fame Sidecar Tour? Just hop into a vintage Vespa sidecar to be taken to the district’s key highlights.
Finally, there’s the old reliable self-guided audio tour which you can tune into from your mobile phone. Hear from participating artists and get insights on the various artworks as you wander the streets.
Head on over to Hall of Fame @ Kampong Gelam’s website for more details on the newly-launched programmes. Now you’ve got another opportunity to play tourist in your own city.
