There are still a couple more months to Star Wars Day on May 4, but local fans of the George Lucas media franchise can already begin geeking out as Singapore’s ArtScience Museum will soon be hosting Star Wars Identities: The Exhibition.
The famed showcase will hit our shores from Jan 30-Jun 13 as the final stop on its global tour.
Look forward to the vast collection of original items from the extensive Lucas Museum of Narrative Art archive, and be immersed in a galaxy far, far away through the lens of the most iconic Star Wars characters around.
That means visitors will get to embark on a customised, interactive identity quest to gain new insights on Star Wars characters while discovering their own identities. It’s aimed at allowing them to answer the simple yet profound question: What force shapes you?
Along the way, museum-goers can expect to explore and snap photographs of some 200 authentic props, models, costumes and even artwork from the original Star Wars films. This includes the original Star Wars canon, as well as drawings from the classic (1977–1983) and prequel (1999–2005) trilogies, the animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars, plus Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
And with three major themes such as Origins, Influences and Choices shaping the showcase, rest assured that you’ll be given a major peek at the development of the various personalities too.
Sounds exciting? Then mark your calendars for Star Wars Identities and book your tickets early. ‘Cause remember—do or do not, there is no try.
