The Skechers Sundown Festival is back, and for this biggie 10th year running of this gathering of some of Asia’s best music acts, organisers Red Spade Entertainment is promising to throw their most massive blowout yet.
Happening over three days, two nights from Apr 19-21 on Siloso Beach, expect a full-blown line-up of over 50 bands, vocalists and musicians from the region, including names like Japan’s Crossfaith, South Korea’s MFBTY, Singapore’s own Charlie Lim, and many more, performing across three different main stages. More acts, including a major Kpop group, will be announced at a later date.
Besides music, you’ll be kept entertained by art and film content too. There’ll be life-sized art installations by Borneo Laboratory that seeks to spread the message of sustainability through more accessible forms, as well as two film screenings from Anticipate Pictures—Japanese dramedy Oh Lucy! and dark Chinese animation comedy Have A Nice Day.
The festival grounds layout
It’s all gonna happen on a large beachfront festival ground, where there’ll be a marketplace to fuel up on food and drink, plus a choice of two on-site accommodations. Bring your own camping equipment and pitch up at Freedom Camp ($300 for a two-night spot), or go luxe and get the full-board Campville ($1,100 for two nights) glamping experience that accommodates four per tent.
Or you know, just come for the music, fun and beach vibes with their one- to three-day ticket passes, that range from $70 to $160.
Skechers Sundown Festival 2019 takes place from Apr 19-21 on Siloso Beach.
