It didn’t seem like too long ago when we were all swooning over Jason Mraz’s “Lucky” and wishing we all had that best friend who just so happens to ALSO be your lover (tough life, it is)—but hey maybe things aren’t all that bad, because Jason Mraz is set to perform at the National Stadium on Oct 27, and it’s his only stop in Asia.
The multiple Grammy Award winner and platinum selling artist came from humble roots, performing at coffeehouses in San Diego back in 2000. Making waves with his Platinum-certified debut album and his hit single “The Remedy (I Won’t Worry)”, he went on to achieve huge success in his next three albums, peaking at number two on the Billboard 200 chart with his fourth album Love is a Four Letter Word. The millennials will likely reminicise fondly on his numerous diamond and platinum awarded songs such as “I Won’t Give Up” and “I’m Yours”. No matter how old these songs are, the nostalgia feels hit hard.
In this upcoming tour, he’ll be performing singles off his newest album Know, so get familiar with his latest songs such as the light and optimistic single “Have It All” and the recently released “Unlonely” that has us grooving in the office at midday. With Jason’s chill disposition and open mind (remember that one guy who shook his shaker and sang “Be Honest” in Taipei?), we can’t wait to see what spontaneous magic will happen this time around.
And if you’re a tennis fan, lucky you.
