PARTY
Starting out as solo artists, German producers Frankey and Sandrino only got together in 2010 out of their pure love of house music. They recorded their first self-titled EP that year, and the rest was history. They’ll be serving up a real deep and melodic set over at Tuff Club. May 18

PERFORMANCE
Go on an aural journey with German musician, composer and record producer Nils Frahm, as he experiments and improvises on a classic piano, a Rhodes piano and a synthesizer at his debut in Esplanade. Part of his tour for his new album All Melody, this one-night concert will also see a post-show dialogue where Frahm will reveal his creative process in layering numerous elements for his music. May 18

TOUR
It’s one thing to take a walk through hell at Haw Par Villa during the day, and a whole other experience if you go at night. The twilight tour of Haw Par Villa is back—check out the infamous 10 Courts of Hell, King of Ghosts, the upcoming Hell’s Museum and the Aw family memorials. May 18

PARTY
Keeping his promise of bringing quality acts to Singapore and an unwavering good time, nightlife stalwart Zig Zach delivers once again by presenting American DJ, producer and radio host of the long-running Beats in Space show Tim Sweeney to our shores under the recently reignited party night, Ritual. May 18

EXHIBITION
Kult’s newest exhibition Word will interpret written text in visual forms through artworks. Specifically, the artists involved were invited to interpret traditional scripts such as Arabic, Braille and Urdu. May 18-Jun 20

THEATER
Pangdemonium’s 2017 sold-out original production Dragonflies returns for an extended run, with Adrian Pang, Tan Kheng Hua, Fanny Kee and Frances Lee reprising their roles, performing alongside new additions Benjamin Chow, Elizabeth Morse and Matt Grey joining the cast. The show is set in 2021, in a xenophobic post-Brexit world. The England-based protagonist Leslie Chen is deported back to Singapore after the death of his wife in the UK. He now has to relearn and reintegrate into the country he left in his youth. May 18-Jun 3

FILM
The 28th European Union Film Festival (EUFF) is on its final stretch, screening provocative and hilarious films across Europe at National Gallery Singapore. Check out our picks here. Through May 20

MUSICAL
It’s your last chance to watch Elle Woods teach her friends to bend and snap in Legally Blonde—The Musical at the Mastercard Theatres at Marina Bay Sands. This multiple Tony award-nominated musical, which first premiered on Broadway in 2007, remains just as fab under the creative team that brought us Big League’s My Fair Lady—director Jeffery Moss and Tony-nominated choreographer Bob Richard. DRINK
Oenophiles and connoisseurs of fine spirits, it’s time to stock up again at 1855 The Bottle Shop’s fifth Wine & Whisky Week—even if you’re still not down to the last drop with your last batch. There will be more than 500 other labels on offer throughout the 12-day event, with over 100 of them available for tasting before you buy. Through May 27

MARKET
The Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) turns 80 this year. And to celebrate, they’re throwing an eight-week arts festival to showcase the school’s diverse talents. As part of the festival, a series of festival markets will take place each weekend, featuring craft-makers and jewellers, local fashion labels, original artworks and vintage collectibles. THEATER
After sold-out success in London, Los Angeles, New York and Hong Kong, UK-based theater company Secret Theatre Project is finally coming to Singapore, bringing to locals their unique style of interactive theater. The experience essentially takes audience members on a high-budget theatrical production that can include anything from deciding a central character’s fate to journeying through a full-blown haunted house adventure. EXHIBITION
Singapore-based Taiwanese indie pop art illustrator and designer Billy Ma will be showcasing pieces from his Sexy Sin City series at casual French dining eatery Merci Marcel, as part of the restaurant’s first-ever art exhibition. Each piece presents an otherwise provocative history of familiar Singapore neighborhoods juxtaposed against seemingly unassuming and less charming modern structures. Through Jun 15

Human Version

EXHIBITION
Human Version is an introspective exhibition filled with photographic and videographic works designed to explore the nascent relationship between humans and robots. Held at Alliance Francaise de Singapour’s La Galerie, the all-encompassing exhibition will give you a rare insight into research labs often kept away from the public eye. Through Jun 2

CONCERT
Local funk and R&B music outfit Astronauts is releasing their debut EP, One, over at *Scape. Joining them is local sultry singer-songwriter FFion and hip-hop/rap musician Subhas. May 19

WELLNESS
A classic since 2008, the Osim Sundown Marathon will see you running with pals from 5pm on Saturday till 10am next morning. This year’s race categories include a 5km fun run, 10km challenge, 21.1km half marathon, and the 42.195km full marathon. As the mighty (and the organizers) say: sleep can wait. May 19

PARTY
Singapore’s burgeoning nightclub of all things deep and bass-y welcomes yet another resident of Berlin’s infamous and exclusive Berghain club. Taking over the cage at Headquarters this time is German DJ-producer Fiedel, who dabbles in techno laced with bits of old-school Detroit, acid from the ’80s and electronic funky grooves. May 19

CHARITY/FILM
Check out Wes Anderson’s stop-motion comedy animation Isle of Dogs, a film that follows a young boy who heads over to an island after his dog (and its entire species) was banished after a canine-flu outbreak. Save Our Street Dogs (SOSD) will also be at The Projector before and after the screening for a donation drive (there’ll also be a couple of shaggy canines from 2:30-5pm). May 19

WELLNESS
Just because nobody really talks about it, doesn’t mean they’re not doing it. We’re talking about sex, baby. Enter Spark Fest Asia, Asia’s first full-fledged sexual wellness festival that returns in its inaugural standalone edition. May 19

FILM
Canvas Club is screening Studio Ghibli’s ’89 animation classic, Kiki’s Delivery Service. Directed by Hayao Miyazaki, the film follows a young witch who just moved into a new town, and decides to use her ability to fly to take earn a living.  May 19

CONVENTION
The organizers of Sole Superior and the people behind Collective Minds are bringing Sneaker Pimps, the world’s largest traveling sneaker show, to Singapore. Check more than 500 rare, vintage and limited edition sneakers in the flesh, as well as sneaker-inspired art, fashion and photography. There’ll also be an buy-sell-trade area for local brands and a local collectors museum to look forward to. May 19

MARKET
Singapore’s thrift scene might seem desolate to most but one star has consistently shone above the rest. New2U Thrift Shop, a subsidiary under the Singapore Council of Women’s Organisations is back with their annual bazaar. The thrifting madness gets multiplied tenfold, with the entire space opening up from its usual one-room affair to display heaps of pre-loved clothes, designer bags and more on sale. Doors open at 10am, and don’t underestimate the local thrift-seeking community. May 19

THEATER
The beloved annual Shakespeare in the Park by the Singapore Repertory Theatre was put on hold last year, but it returns this month thanks to a crowdfunding campaign. They’ll be staging Julius Caesar in its well-loved setting of Fort Canning Park. Through May 27

Chinese New Year may be long over, but this new exhibition looks at the Chinese zodiac through the eyes of European artists. The internationally renowned Mazel Galerie from Brussels has commissioned The Great Race, a new exhibition that takes source material from the traditional Chinese zodiac. Through Jun 30

MARKET
Music, fashion and food come together at Camp Kilo Charcoal Club’s Sunday Social Market. Shop fashion accessories, crafts and interior decor, taste bites from artisanal bakers and indulge in Camp Kilo’s hearty roasts while DJs spin house music to get you in the spending mood. May 20

WELLNESS
Kick off your Sunday bright and early by taking up an outdoor yoga class at the Botanic Gardens with one of Urban Yogis’ guest teachers, Amy. May 20

FILM
Enter the whimsical world of shy Parisian waitress in Jean-Pierre Jeunet’s 2001 Le Fabuleux Destin d’Amelie Poulain. In her struggles with isolation, she decides to help others by doing small things to change the lives of those around her. May 20

EXHIBITION
You’d think a traveling exhibition from the London Natural History Museum would be hard to top, but ArtScience Museum’s current shtick traces 40 years of street art, from its controversial beginnings as expressions of counterculture, to its current standing as a major pillar of contemporary art. Art from the Streets features the works of the world’s top street artists, such as Banksy, Shepard Fairey and more. Through Jun 3

FOOD
Goodwood Park Hotel’s annual durian festival returns with all-time favorites like durian puffs, crepes, strudels, ice cream and more. Through Jul 22

EXHIBITION
Peranakan Museum’s latest exhibition, Amek Gambar: Peranakans and Photography, delves into the Southeast Asian history of photography through the pictured lives of the Peranakan community in the region. Through Feb 3, 2019
