Psst… tickets to watch The Lion King in Singapore are now on sale

We’re just as excited as you are about the return of The Lion King to our shores for its 20th anniversary next year, ever since we announced it eight months ago. It’s been more than two decades since the epic musical film about lions in Africa first came into our lives, and again in 2011 when the musical made its Southeast Asian debut, where it was the longest running one in the country’s theatrical entertainment history (eight months long to be exact).

If you’re a Singtel subscriber, you’re in luck. The musical’s presenting sponsor is offering priority bookings for all its customers from now till Nov 13 at this dedicated site, with a 15 percent discount off tickets. The rest of the world can make their purchases from Nov 13 onwards via Sistic or Marina Bay Sands’ official website. Tickets are priced from $65-230.

They may not be breaking any records this time, but you will be able to immerse yourself in the magnificent world of Simba, Nala, Rafiki, Mufasa, Timon, Pumba and company for over a month from Jun 27-Aug 26 next year. An incredibly talented and international cast of 51 people—performers and veterans of the highly acclaimed London, Las Vegas, Australian and Hamburg stagings of the musical—will wow you as they tell the story of responsibility, loss, karma and coming of age through top-notch acting and some of the most recognizable songs today like “Circle of Life”, “Hakuna Matata”, and “Can You Feel The Love Tonight”; all against intricate set designs and in colorful costumes that these performers bring to life.
