Jetstar Asia will be flying to Okinawa once again this Nov

If you didn't manage to get your hands on Jetstar's <a href="http://sg.asia-city.com/travel/news/jetstar-is-offering-an-awesome-deal-… target="_blank">amazing deal last Dec, which covers you for every single long weekend in 2017, that's okay. There are still plenty of places you can go, and now with the return of Jetstar’s direct flight to Okinawa in southern Japan—Singapore’s only scheduled connection to the subtropical island—you’re spoilt for choice.

The last time they flew to Okinawa was in 2014, providing charter services to Naha Airport and becoming the first low-fare carrier to fly directly from Singapore. The team has taken customer feedback into consideration and decided to relaunch the service. At the moment, it's still possible to fly to Okinawa, but with two stopovers, requiring about 17 hours in transit.

Starting Nov 17, Jetstar will be flying direct to Okinawa thrice weekly throughout the year (flight time is just slightly over five hours). But you might want to act fast because it also happens to be the start of the year-end school holidays (read: kiasu parents). It’s still Singapore’s only scheduled connection to the subtropical island that’s popular for its white beaches, coral reefs and rich heritage; so as usual, fastest fingers first.

Okinawa is a nice alternative to go snorkeling, diving and ocean walking at. You might also want to check the ancient Shuri Castle, which has been listed as a Unesco World Heritage site, and the famed Okinawa Churaumi Aquarium while you’re at it.

One-way tickets are now available for as low as $66. Get yours today.
