1. FILTHY & GORGEOUS—Drag Queen Brunch
MBS celeb resto Long Chim is hosting a pop-up drag queen brunch party, complete with fancy Thai street-style tapas plates and a free flow of Cointreau-based cocktails and beer from 12-4pm. Add $50 for an unlimited dose of Piper Heidseick Champagne and be entertained by divas Becca D’Bus, Mona Kee Kee, Noris and Vyla Virus. Tickets are at $125. Feb 20, 12-4pm.
3. FRESH! Talk Cock Sing Song VI
Dig into delicious bar bites like lamb shank kong bak pau and buffalo wings served with blue cheese dip while you sing along to retro tunes by the Backstreet Boys and Air Supply at a karaoke session. Guest chefs/bartenders The Theo Bros will be dishing out cocktails and grub. Feb 25, 7pm.
4. Electric Kitchen with Younotus
Fans of Eats Beats and Treats at Meatliquor SIN will not want to miss this party featuring guest DJ duo Younotus from Berlin. There will be 11 types of burgers available, ranging from beef to chicken, and a list of artery-clogging sides as well, like shambal fries and buffalo wings. Admission is free, but you’ll have to RSVP for the event first—the first 150 guests will receive a complimentary drink. Feb 26, 7pm.
5. Oxwell Towers: Four Floors of Frolicks
Gastro-pub Oxwell & Co is launching a free-flow brunch party, set to happen monthly. There will be classic British canapes and bites like pork scratchings, mini Yorkshire puddings and mini fish and chips by head chef Nick Scorpion, with old-fashioned cocktails and DJ Patrick Oliver helming the decks. Tickets are at $111.83. Feb 27, 1-4pm.
6. OFC Social Market
The Open Farm Community social market is back, with highlights like local and fresh produce stalls and yoga and pilates sessions by Alphabalance. Shop and sample goodies like fresh live oysters from Sea Farmers at Ubin, cold-pressed juices by Juice Junkie and smoothie bowls by Ma’ona. Feb 27-28, 10am-4pm.
7. Juan Night in Bangkok
Hombre Cantina and Bird Bird are joining forces for a one-night only with a special menu of honest-to-goodness street grub like ceviches, Thai green curry elotes, Thai roast chicken tacos, pork carinitias som tum tacos and fried wings with smoked chipotle sauce, all priced between $5-15. There’s also chilled tamarind margaritas going at $10, too. Mar 2, 7pm.
8. From Kyro with Love
Industry professionals, this one’s for you. Rub shoulders with co-founder Miiika of Kyro Distillery Company (producer of Nordic-style single malt whisky), who will be dropping by for a talk and to give participants a preview of the Napue Rye Gin, which was selected as the best for Gin & Tonic at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. 9. Rail Collidoscope presented by Noise x LushLovesLocal
Sending off the Rail Corridor with a big is this pop-up daytime party featuring DJs, live street art and food and drinks stalls. Details are still under wraps at the moment, but hey, this is your last chance to visit the area’s gritty green space before it gets all spruced up. Mar 19, 12-6pm.
10. The Great Singapore Jerk-Off Part 2
Smoke up and sample some chicken marinated with two different traditional Jamaican jerk sauces at Red Baron, all part of a contest for the best tasting Jerk in Singapore. There’s also a rasta market by Flea Fly Flo Fun, all set to the reggae, ska, and dancehall tunes by DJs, Dub Skank’in Hifi, Me.Layan and Lavin. Order your chicken in advance to avoid disappointment.
