Whiskey aficionados and connoisseurs now have another sanctum for single malts: The WOW at the revamped Heritage Wing of Mövenpick Heritage Hotel Sentosa.
Launched in partnership with Switzerland’s Hotel Waldhaus am See in St. Moritz, whose famous bar holds the Guinness World Record for having the world’s largest whiskey collection with over 3,500 pours, this lavishly decorated whiskey bar features a collection of 250 Scotch single malts—many of which like Glenfiddich 33-year-old 1973 Private Vintage bottle ($2,860) and The Un-Chillfiltered Collection Caol Ila 11-year-old 2000 Signatory Vintage ($225/bottle) are exclusively available here in Singapore.
There are also American bourbons, Japanese whiskeys and Swiss whiskeys, with prices per bottle ranging from $160 up to $19,500 for a rare reserve. A dram can be as affordable as $11 for a quality pour while a glass from the finer ranges can cost over $300.
