Here’s a really good deal at One Rochester: six wines (plus, light grub) for $20. It’s on every Thursday till the end of the year. Chow down on canapés and little bites like shots of mushroom soup, gruyere soufflé, as well as duck rillettes as you sip vinos from October’s featured supplier Cellarmaster Wines (suppliers over the last few months also include Crystal Wines).
The promotion’s on hold tonight (October 11) as they’re swamped for Restaurant Week. But the last edition (October 4) featured tipples from New Zealand like fresh sauvignon blanc and riesling.“We came up with the idea back in June to increase our guests’ exposure to wines in an affordable way,” says Ray Sim the restaurant supervisor who’s in charge of the Sips at Seven promotion.
Just note, they’re pretty strict about end time so don’t be too late unless you don’t mind pounding your wines (they only give you one glass). Also, it’s pretty important to book if you want a nice table outside. There’s a great atmosphere and laid back vibe.
