Ladies, gather all your girlfriends! Singapore Cancer Society is offering free Pap smears through June 17.
It may not be the most glamorous way to spend the afternoon (we kind of think Pap smears are the female equivalent of a prostate exam without the head-turning and coughing) but getting regular screenings could save your life. It’s been advised that women get screened once every three years to detect signs of cervical cancer (the seventh most common cancer among Singaporean women according to the Health Promotion Board) early.
Don’t just think about it; do it! The test is free for Singaporeans and PRs aged 25-69.
