Don Quixote

Originally choreographed in 1869 for the Bolshoi Ballet, this 19th century ballet follows the pursuits of knight Don Quixote and his devoted squire Sancho Panza. The production marks the Singapore Dance Theatre’s first full-length classical ballet in seven years, with staging by accomplished ballerina Cynthia Harvey.

Yoga Beat at Orchard Road

As part of Orchard Road’s pedestrianization program, popular sportswear brand Lululemon Athletica will be organizing a massive hip hop yoga block party. This event will be the second installment of  Pedestrian Night at Orchard Road, after the successful Tennis Pops Up in Oct. Registration will take place at 5:30pm, with classes beginning at 8pm. 

Space for Singapore Exhibition

In collaboration with IN.GENIUS’s efforts to send the first Singaporean into Space in 2015, the S.E.A. Aquarium will be holding an exhibition themed around space exploration. Visitors will get to meet the candidates in the “Space for Singapore” program, and also come face-to-face with the Space Capsule that will be propelling Singapore into the space era.

Invisibility

Presented by Intercultural Theatre Institute, this production explores the subject of alienation and the search for meaning in modern urban society. Featuring various marginal characters who are seeking to connect with others, the play dissects various classic texts, and will be directed by established theater practitioner Kok Heng Leun.

Monkey Goes West

For the 11th edition of its popular year-end pantomime, theater group W!ld Rice presents a cheeky rendition of well-loved Chinese classic Journey To The West, re-imagined in the context of modern-day Singapore. Starring theater veterans Lim Kay Siu, Chua Enlai and Siti Khalijah Zainal, the production features Sebastian Tan (of Broadway Beng fame) in his directorial debut.

Canon PhotoMarathon Singapore 2014

Spanning over seven countries, this year’s competition will bring together photographic talents from Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, India, Thailand and Cambodia. Participants must race the clock to create photographic masterpieces in line with assigned themes, and stand to win an all-expense paid photoclinic trip overseas.

One FC: Battle of Lions
