Lily Allen Live in Singapore

British singer Lily Allen will be performing for the first time in Singapore in Feb 2015. After bursting onto the music scene in 2006 with her iconic debut single “Smile”, she has returned after a four-year hiatus and will be performing songs from her well-received third album “Sheezus”. 

Indochine Green Festival

This year’s festival hosts prominent environmental and welfare organizations such as  the IUCN, SeaOrbiter, Animal Concerns Research & Education Society (ACRES) and the Singapore Institute of International Affairs. Events on the line up include a wildlife conservation talk at Gardens By the Bay, and a wine dinner at Indochine restaurant at Club Street. 

Halloween Night at Forest Adventure

In celebration of Halloween, Forest Adventure at Bedok Reservoir will be holding a night obstacle course featuring over 34 obstacles like trapezes and wobbly logs (and complete with ghosts and ghoulish creatures hiding in the treetops). Spaces are limited, pre-book at [email protected].

Theatre of the Damned

Play detective at this one-night-only murder mystery party. You’ll be asked to decipher clues, chase down a psychotic killer and even save someone’s life before the clock runs out. If that sounds like hard work, don’t worry: there will be a four-course dinner and welcome cocktails. Seating is limited, so book early. 

Freq’ender

This two-day carnival-style festival features over 20 international and regional artists, including Grammy-nominated producer Morgan Page, German techno duo 2ManyDJs and Mercury-nominated UK group Hot Chip. Aside from music arts, the massive venue will be home to roving dancers, acrobats and freak show performers, along with food and drink stalls. 

Whisk

A cute little dessert bar and bakery in Tiong Bahru serving cakes, croissants and Kouign Amman-type rolls.

Laneway 2015

One of the most anticipated indie music festival returns, with a  solid line-up to boot. There’s American musician and multi-instrumentalist St Vincent, Swedish dance anthem machine Lykke Li, synthpop band Future Islands, Swedish electronic musicians Little Dragon and breakout girl-wonder FWA Twigs, among other acts.

Whodunit at the Rabbit Hole

The White Rabbit pays homage to some of history’s greatest sleuths this Halloween and guests are encouraged to come dressed as their favorite crime-busters, be it Sherlock Holmes, Magnum P.I or even the Scooby-Doo gang. There are prizes up for grabs for best-dressed crime-busters, including staycations at Bali’s luxury resort The Santai Umalas or Wanderlust Hotel Singapore.

Clarke Quay presents Once Upon a Nightmare

Hosted by 987FM DJs Justin Ang and Vernon A, this year’s Halloween party at Clarke Quay features live band performances, stage games and a chance to win up to $200 worth of dining vouchers if you come decked out in costume. There’s also complimentary entry to clubs in the area and lots of drink promos. 

Jedd Novatt Solo Exhibition

American sculptor Jedd Novatt’s solo exhibition features large sculptures as well as smaller scale works and collages, largely made of stainless steel and bronze. Novatt’s unique works play with scale and gravity, with pieces that retain their structure but are seemingly also on the verge of collapse.
