The Cheesecake Cafe

If you’re a real cheesecake lover, this is the place for you. Sure, it requires a little bit of a trek but you’ll be greatly rewarded. They’ve got everything from Oreo to peanut butter to peach jelly to rum and raisin. We especially like the lived-in feel of the café and the crème brulee.

Fancy a spot of English afternoon tea ($38 on Mon-Thu 2-5:30pm; $42 on Fri-Sun noon-2:30pm, 3-5:30pm)? We sure do, and the spread of pastries and desserts here is delightful. Onaka (Biopolis)

When the chance came to review new café Onaka (short for Optimum Nutrition and Kitchen Arts)—which specializes in home-cooked and mainly vegetarian dishes—we were more than ecstatic. However, our dining experience here was less than stellar. First of all, its location at The Biopolis is not the most accessible or hippest. Upon our arrival, we […]

Contemporary Melting Pot & Bar (CM-PB) | Review

CM-PB’s high ceiling, barren floor and the occasional Asian-inspired ornament on display made us feel like we just stepped into a bohemian loft complete with a cool, temperate environment. The wait staff was attentive enough to ask about our meal intermittently and the bartender at the island bar was friendly and knowledgeable. We opened our meal […]
