A bigger, badder version of the Brew party we already know and love is coming in the form of Brew: Block Party Edition. Typically held at Chye Seng Huat Hardware along Tyrwhitt Road, the coffee house and its immediate stretch of road will be transformed to accommodate the block party, to be held on Jun 22, from 3pm-9pm.
As always, it’ll be a celebration of the local music scene, neighbourhood architecture and coffee, so partygoers can anticipate the Jalan Besar district to start buzzing from Saturday mid-afternoon.
Organised by Darker Than Wax and Papa Palheta, you can expect the grooviest tunes, entrancing visuals, food and drinks. While folks from DTW will be the musical headliners of the day, special guest DJ Unos will be on deck duty too, flying in from Belgium to hype up the crowd and perform alongside the local music label. And to jazz up the Chye Seng Huat Hardware compound, film production house Fourthree will also be projecting visuals of Jalan Besar’s architectural designs.
