Find hipster bands and twee pop stars too tame for your delicate ear drums? Fans of hard-core, it’s time dust off your Black Sabbath T-shirts, because a couple of heavy metal bands will be descending on our shores very soon.
After eight studio albums and the departure and addition of some band members, they will be in town for their Southeast Asian leg of the tour, “Endless Forms Most Beautiful.” Here’s hoping they will play sounds like “Amaranth,” Sleeping Sun” and “Wish I had an Angel.” $108, The Coliseum, Sentosa, 8pm.
Huge in the South American underground scene, Argentinian band Infernal Curse will be in town to play some of their hits, including “Obituaries,” “Demented Visions of Darkness” and “Unholy Benediction.” Local acts like Viridicorn (who recently launched their EP) and Luna Azure will also make an appearance. $30-40, Hood Bar and Cafe, 7:30pm-10:30pm.
Mantas, Abaddon and The Demolition Man will be in town with their very own brand of black metal. Influenced by Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, KISS and Motorhead, this band is known for tracks like “Welcome To Hell,” “Buried Alive” and “Red Light Fever.” Check out the Burstin’ Out FB page
to see how you can reserve tickets. $15-25, Aliwal Arts Centre, 1pm.
